We had to make the last ferry back to the mainland and we weren’t even half way the island. We raced through beauties like these (where the water occasionally forced even my long legs to move a little faster) and finally made it to the ‘terminal’: a small beach. We had just missed the last boat. So, we had to pay some serious cash to a dude to bring us to shore, though he only wanted to drop us off at the closest point on the mainland, in the middle of no where. At that point I was craving for some food and my tummy did not quite agree with the food I indulged in at the local foodstall. Not for the next 1.5 weeks. A paid hitchhike took us back to town.
