Road to Mt. Pinatubo

Ever wondered what a mountain would look like if you would cut it open? Wonder no longer if you pictured that mountain in Pinatubo and if it’s mostly made out of ash.

Mt Pinatubo is an active volcano located in the south of Luzon. It erupted in 1991, which was one of the largest eruptions of the 20th century. This is a photo of the road of ash leading up to the crater.

The Aeta people inhabit the surrounding lands and wherever we stopped local Aeta children would run towards us to try to sell bananas. They have less rights than other Filipino’s and are passive aggressively oppressed.
